   Le verbe copule qui identifie un nom à un autre : 我是学生 « je suis étudiant ». Il ne relie que des noms — en chinois, les adjectifs sont des prédicats complets et ne prennent pas 是.

  La même règle vaut pour le temps qu’il fait et les états : 热, 大, 小, 好 sont des adjectifs, il faut donc supprimer 是.
