   إذا لحق 起来 فعلًا أفاد ابتداء الحدث واستمراره: 笑起来 انفجر ضاحكًا، و下起雨来 أخذت السماء تمطر. وإذا لحق صفةً أفاد الحكم بالنظر: 看起来很累 «يبدو متعبًا»، و听起来不错 «يبدو حسنًا». فإن كان للفعل مفعول توسّط المكمّلَ: 想起他来.
