Mnemonic
يقوم 書 التقليدي على 聿 أي يدٍ تقبض على قلم، فالكتابة مرسومةٌ بأداتها وهي تعمل. وقد ردّ التبسيطُ الحرفَ كلَّه إلى الخطوط الأربعة التي كانت اليد المتّصلة ترسمها فعلًا، فذهب القلم معها؛ ولذلك صار 书 يُصنَّف تحت الخطّ المعقوف 乙 لا تحت جزءٍ ذي معنى. ومنه 书 كتاب، و书店 مكتبة للبيع، و图书馆 مكتبة للمطالعة.
