    Qui a le goût du sel — la saveur opposée à 甜, et l’un des rares mots de goût que le chinois traite comme adjectif de base : 太咸了, 有点儿咸. Le caractère 咸 signifiait à l’origine « tout », sans rapport avec le goût ; la simplification lui a donné le rôle que tenait le plus complexe 鹹.
