   يقيس البعد بين موضعين: أ 离 ب 很近/很远. ويصلح للزمن أيضًا: 离考试还有三天 «بقيت ثلاثة أيّام على الاختبار».

  تقدّم 从 نقطة انطلاقٍ يتحرّك منها الشيء، أمّا 离 فتقيس بُعدًا ثابتًا. ولا يليه 很近 أو 很远 إلّا مع 离.
