How Mandarin is actually learned
Long pieces on method: what tones really are, why word counts mislead, how review scheduling works, and what an examination does and does not measure. Written by the editorial team, reviewed before publication, and revised rather than quietly deleted.
汉语没有动词变位,难就难在这里
No tenses, no persons, no agreement, no irregular verbs. The relief lasts about three weeks. Then you discover that what replaces conjugation is a system of aspect, time words and context that is genuinely harder than an endings table.

慢慢讲清楚“把”字句
Most learners do not struggle with 把 — they avoid it, for years, behind a set of workarounds smooth enough that nobody notices. Here is what the pattern actually does, the three rules that govern it, and the places where no workaround exists.

职场汉语:从这些词开始
Workplace Chinese is not advanced Chinese. It is a different set of very ordinary words that general courses skip: how you are addressed, what you say to hold the floor in a meeting, and the four lines that make up most internal email.

How these are written
The same editorial rules apply here as to the rest of the platform.
- Every article is versioned and attributed to a named author, and is reviewed by a second person before it is published.
- No official vocabulary list, syllabus, scoring rule or examination date is reproduced or invented. Where an authoritative figure is needed, the article says so and points at the examination authority.
- Chinese examples are tone-marked and checkable, and are held to the same standard as the dictionary.
- A model may help draft; a model cannot publish. Anything AI-generated is labelled and cannot leave the review queue on its own.
Found an error? 报告错误 — corrections are made against the article and its version history, not silently.
