   النهر الأصفر (هوانغ خه)

   النهر العظيم في شمال الصين، ومهد الحضارة الصينيّة. وسُمّي 黄 أي أصفر لما يحمله من تربة اللُّويس، وهذا الطمي هو الذي بنى السهل الذي نشأت عليه البلاد.
