“况且”:补充理由
况且 adds a further reason in support of a point the speaker is already making, often followed by 又, 也 or 还. Unlike 而且 it cannot pair with 不但, and unlike 何况 it is never used in a “let alone” question.

belongs to argument. The speaker has a conclusion in mind — usually a decision to do or not do something — and is stacking up reasons for it. The first reason comes first; introduces the next: , “It’s too late to go now — and besides, it’s raining.” The conclusion, , may be stated or left to the listener.
stands at the head of its clause, before the subject, and is very often followed by , or : ,. It can only add; it never opens the argument, so a sentence that begins with has nothing to add to.
Two neighbours are easily confused with it. adds facts in general and pairs with ; never does, so …… is an error. can also mean “besides”, but its typical use is the rhetorical “let alone”: ,? cannot carry that meaning, so ? is wrong.
