义项
男女正式成为夫妻
A two-part verb — 结 to tie plus 婚 marriage — so the marriage is already its object. The person you marry cannot follow it; they are introduced beforehand with 和 or 跟.

常见错误
不太对他结婚了我姐姐。
正确他和我姐姐结婚了。
结婚 cannot take a person after it, because 婚 already fills the object slot. Chinese puts the other party in front, with 和 or 跟 — the same shape as 跟他说话 and 和朋友见面.
不太对他们结婚了三年。
正确他们结婚三年了。
A verb of this kind marks a point, not a stretch, so the length of time counts from that point onwards and 了 moves to the end: 结婚三年了 — they have been married for three years.
