Forms the superlative by standing before an adjective or a feeling verb: 最大, 最贵, 最喜欢. It replaces 很 rather than joining it.

Common mistakes
Not quite他最很高。
Correct他最高。
最 and 很 are both degree adverbs and cannot stack. 最 already puts the quality at the top of the scale, so 很 has nothing left to do.
