Where the shape comes from
The same trailing leg as 夂 but drawn with one more dragging stroke, for a step slowed down — legs that shuffle rather than stride. It sits at the foot of 夏, summer, in an old picture of a dancer’s measured, weighted steps, and at the foot of 复, to return, repeat, where a foot retraces a path it has already walked.
