The third part isolates structure, so the gap report can tell a vocabulary problem from a grammar problem. This is not an official paper, and the result is HSK Guide’s own estimate of where you stand, not an examination score.

Sections
3 sections, 30 questions, 35 minutes of section time.
Ten recordings: short exchanges and single statements of opinion. In this practice section each recording plays twice and cannot be paused or rewound. The wording of the answer will rarely match the recording, so listen for the speaker’s stance — 还没, 尽管, 无论, 只是 — rather than for individual words.
Audio rules for this section
Twelve items: gap filling, notices and argued passages, matching and sentence building. At this level a passage usually makes its point once, in one clause, and spends the rest of its length on examples — find that clause before you look at the options.

Before you start
The timer runs on the server, so refreshing will not give you extra time. Listening audio plays a fixed number of times, as set for this practice paper.
