   Raises a quality one step above something already established: 今天冷，明天更冷. It presupposes a comparison, so it cannot simply mean "very".

  Correct这个菜更好吃。

  更 is itself a degree adverb and cannot be stacked with 很, 非常 or 太. One degree adverb per adjective is the rule.
